Invitation to the ATELIER webinar on e-mobility in the transformation towards energy neutral cities

ATELIER is organising a webinar on the topic of e-mobility and its role in the transition towards energy neutral cities. In this webinar we will present the challenge of e-mobility (EV) integration in a local energy system. Within the context of further electrification (housing, mobility, appliances, etc.) the reliance on a stable energy infrastructure becomes eminent. We will elaborate on the knowledge of EV integration, how this is potentially affecting grid congestion, or how that EV is offering a solution for peak load shifting. Research results will be shared on the use of smart charging infrastructure, from data analysis, simulation of future scenarios, testing in practice and developing specific hardware, showcasing the step up towards market maturation.

Regarding future urban planning, during this webinar we will present also a dedicated GIS tool for integrating electricity and heating systems in the urban environment. This tool further enables to evaluate impacts of congestion, local adoption of new energy demand or supply and also the impact of EVs on the grid.

During the webinar, we also make time for interaction, and questions from the audience. We welcome you all to subscribe for this interesting webinar, and participate in the co-creation of knowledge on E-mobility integration in a sustainable energy system.

Line-up of speakers:
Mr. Marcel Eijgelaar, Principal Researcher DNV, the Netherlands
Mr. Juan Pedrero, Research Scientist, department of Energy Planning at Tecnalia, Spain.
Dr. Rick Wolbertus, Associate lector Smart Energy Systems at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Lectorate of Energy & Innovation, the Netherlands

The webinar will take place on 17 October 2024 from 14:00-15:30.
