On October 17, ATELIER organised a webinar on the topic of e-mobility and its role in the transition towards energy neutral cities. A special focus was put on the challenge of e-mobility (EV) integration in a local energy system.
Our online event, hosted and moderated by Sabine Haeßler from ATELIER project partner Steinbeis Europa Zentrum, offered the possibility of exchanging and elaborating on the knowledge of EV integration but also on the question of EV as a solution for peak load shifting. The webinar featured three esteemed researchers from different institutions, Marcel Eijgelaar from DNV, Juan Pedrero from Tecnalia and Dr. Rick Wolbertus from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, granting valuable insights into the field of E-mobility.
With that, interesting research results on the use of smart charging infrastructure as well as future urban planning were shared, including the presentation of a dedicated GIS tool for estimating the impact of electrification in urban environments.
During the webinar, participants had the chance to ask interesting questions related to the topic, thus allowing a very insightful discussion with our speakers and a deep dive into the subject of E-mobility, with all its challenges and opportunities.
