Enlit Europe brought together once again the international energy community, providing a meeting point for sharing progress, connecting EU initiatives, and showcasing technologies shaping the future of the energy system.

This year’s edition, held in Bilbao from 18 to 20 November, set the perfect scenario for disseminating ATELIER project outcomes, with particular focus on the Bilbao Lighthouse demo deployed at Zorrotzaurre district. BASQUENERGY Cluster has coordinated the ATELIER participation at the event through several activities, thus contributing to increase the project visibility and outreach.

ATELIER had its own project booth at the EU Project Zone, showcasing videos, a roll-up and brochures, fostering engagement with the visitors throughout the week. Project colleagues from Tecnalia, Iberdrola, University of Deusto and the Municipality of Bilbao, joined BASQUENERGY Cluster team at the event.

Jon González, from the Municipality of Bilbao, gave an overall view on the project and the highlights of the Bilbao demo at one of the EU Project Zone Theatres, in a session shared with other EU projects on Nov 18th.

Frans Verspeek, ATELIER Project Advisor, recently took part in the EU Projects Podcast hosted by ENLIT Europe. During the interview, he explained how ATELIER is showing that innovation, regulation and citizen engagement can make urban areas true frontrunners in Europe’s clean energy transition.

Participation at Enlit Exhibition in Bilbao gave the ATELIER team the opportunity to disseminate the most relevant outcomes at a major energy event close to one of the main project deployment areas and to engage with other EU projects and stakeholders focused on the energy transition, as well as with the local energy ecosystem.
