City Vision 2050

The ATELIER Lighthouse and Fellow Cities all developed a Bold City Vision for 2050, which included a pathway for full decarbonisation of the city’s energy system by 2050, the city’s transformation from pilot case experiences to upscaling and replication and the long term commitment of the city to further implementation of Positive Energy Districts.

The Bold City Vision 2050 was developed by a local Smart City Planning Group where all relevant stakeholders such as representatives from the municipal departments, local agencies, industry and civil society were cooperating.

ATELIER deployed a number of energy planning tools to enable the cities to guide their energy transition challenges, supporting them to update their current action plans (SEAP and SECAPs) and providing a long-term Energy Vision.
