Scalable Cities & Smart Cities Marketplace

ATELIER is not the only project in Europe that works with the demonstration -> replication method. In fact, ATELIER is part of the Scalable Cities network – a network of overall 18 Smart Cities and Communities Lighthouse projects funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme. This network consists of 48 Lighthouse Cities where demonstration activities are carried out. In 72 Fellow Cities, the developed solutions are then replicated and adapted to their own local circumstances.

All projects actively collaborate with the Smart Cities Marketplace, a platform funded by the European Commission that unites the two initiatives Smart Cities Information System (SCIS) and the Marketplace of the European Innovation Partnership on Smart Cities and Communities (EIP-SCC). It is a major market-changing undertaking that aims to bring cities, industries, SMEs, investors, researchers and other smart city actors together.
