When it comes to transitioning to climate neutrality and develop new lifestyles and ways of working, euopean cities play a vital role and act as a testing ground for future changes. With that, cities authorities and governance aspects have also shown to be take up a crucial part in this process.
For this purpose, the ATELIER umbrella project Scalable Cities created a solution booklet on Systemic Changes in Governance. Equipping local governments for realising climate-neutral and smart cities”, examining different aspects of changes in governance tested by cities during their participation in Horizon 2020 Smart City Lighthouse (SCC-01) projects between 2014 and 2022.
