Get to know the local initiatives of Buiksloterham! 

Amsterdam is one of the Lighthouse Cities of the ATELIER project. The city is transforming the formal industrial neighbourhood, Buiksloterham, into a low-carbon, smart Positive Energy District with mixed uses. In this district, new energy efficient buildings are being built, a high share of RES generating solutions is installed and smart technology is deployed for optimising local energy balance and sharing between different users. 

Waag focuses on citizen engagement and ensures citizens are given a central role in all decision-making processes. Which social solutions work best? 

The Buiksloterham area knows various local organisations that are working on the energy transition, energy common concepts and circularity.
