On February 7, the first edition of the ATELIER webinar series on urban energy transition with Positive Energy Districts took place and aimed at showcasing the concept of Innovation Ateliers, as a method for bringing together a cities innovation eco-system to support the development process of PEDs!
This webinar series called “Spotlight on PEDs”, created by the EU-funded Horizon 2020 Innovation project ATELIER, focuses on the creation and replication of Positive Energy Districts (PEDs). Each edition examines a different aspect of PEDs, hosted by ATELIER partners and occasionally accompanied by external guest speakers.
This first online event, moderated by our ATELIER project partner Jeroen Brouwer from TNO, featured two esteemed experts working in the field of Urban Living Labs and Urban Innovation, Juanita Devis from AMS Institute and Geiske Bouma from TNO. Both shared valuable insights on outcomes and lessons learned with regards to the Innovation Ateliers as well as on the evaluation and monitoring of the Innovation Ateliers in cities so far. Followed by an insightful Q&A session, our speakers were able to answer important questions from the audience and dive deeper into the complex subject of Innovation Ateliers.
