As announced in September, we’re thrilled to represent ATELIER at the world’s most exciting international congress on cities and urban innovation: the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona.

Together with 29 other EU-funded projects and initiatives, we will showcase the European Commission’s activities to foster climate-neutral and smart cities in Europe. For everyone attending the Congress, here is when you can meet ATELIER representatives:

Sustainable Cities Powered by Positive Energy Concepts

Joint booth session with the projects SPARCS, RESPONSE and POCITYF. ATELIER is represented by Frans Verspeek (Project Coordinator ATELIER, City of Amsterdam) and Omar Shafqat (Project Manager, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences). The booth session includes smaller break out sessions. ATELIER’s break out session will be about PED’s as a component of the energy transition.

Positive Energy Districts as a component for designing the future towards climate neutrality

Panel discussion on the role of PEDs to achieve climate neutrality. The discussion includes panelists from the EU-funded PED projects ATELIER, +cityXchange, ASCEND, EXCESS and NeutralPath. ATELIER is represented by Project Coordinator Frans Verspeek.
