Role in the project

DNV GL will work on the energy system integration problem, linking all types of energy production and consumption in the Positive Energy District (PED): local distributed generation (e.g. solar PV, wind energy, solar thermal, geothermal), the electric power grid, the mobility infrastructure (EV charging stations), the heating infrastructure and the building energy systems. We will simulate and analyse the electric and non-electric power flows, the impact on the electricity grid and the merits of different solutions, such as demand response, heat storage and electrical energy storage. DNV GL will also be involved in the technical monitoring of the project and the demo sites, in the impact assessment and in the exploitation and dissemination activities.
