As well other H2020 finished coordinated project was OptEEmAL “Optimised Energy Efficient Design Platform for Refurbishment at District Level”.

CARTIF is currently taking part as a partner in the H2020 Projects LOCOMOTION “Low-carbon society: an enhanced modelling tool for the transition to sustainability” and MAtchUP “MAximizing the UPscaling and replication potential of high-level urban transformation strategies”.

In the past, other successful projects carried out were BaaS “Buildings as a Service (Ecosystem)”; R2CITIES “Renovation of Residential urban spaces: towards nearly zero energy CITIES” and CITyFiED “RepliCable and InnovaTive Future Efficient Districts and cities”.

CARTIF is the Spanish National Liaison Point of the European E2BA (Energy Efficient Buildings Association). Additionally, CARTIF is one of the founding members and main promoters of the Smart City VyP initiative carried out in the Spanish cities of Valladolid and Palencia (http://www.smartcity-vyp.com).

Role in the project
CARTIF is leading the PED Replication & Upscaling Work Package (WP6), where the replication strategy will be fully deployed. Aiming at leading the way towards a wide scale roll out of PEDs, ATELIER replication strategy will work on methods and procedures to select suitable areas to design a PED, identify potential solutions and last but not least, support the adaptation of the innovative solutions validated in the Lighthouse cities to other urban scenarios. A dialogue among Lighthouse cities and Fellow cities to identify commonalties and differences among local authority representatives of each city will be stablished in order to ensure the correct implementation of PED solutions.
